We got married at Vine Hill House in October 2023, and it was absolutely perfect. Here is a bit about what we loved:1. Great management team - Dan has hosted weddings for many years and guided us through the wedding planning process step-by-step. Because of his experience and advice, the recommended vendor lists, timeline support, and day of coordination (all included in the venue fee), we felt confident we weren’t missing anything and also didn’t need to have a separate wedding planner, which was a huge budget saver. 2. Great vendor team - Most of our vendors came from Vine Hill House’s preferred list and we were so happy with all of them; especially Sue and the Trends Catering team. Working with her on the menu and rentals, and then having her cook up a feast for our friends and family was a true highlight. 3. Great ambiance - We got the beautiful vineyard setting, while still being laid back and homey. A lot of other wineries feel corporate or commercial, Vine Hill House does not. It feels like you’re in a backyard (if you happen to own a gorgeous property in Sonoma), with your closest family and friends. It’s magical. And the space flows really well - there are distinct areas for cocktails, dining, dancing, etc. but it's also all together. I think the venue is perfect for small/medium sized weddings too - ours was 65 people and it didn’t feel oversized. You could fit many more people, as well though. Our guests are still gushing about our wedding, which we love to hear and makes us so happy. But what’s more important is that we are still gushing about our wedding, too. After all the planning and build-up to this very important day, with the support of Dan, Brigette, and the Vine Hill and Trends teams … we were able to just kick back and savor the day, and for that we are very grateful.

My Husband and I had the most magical wedding day at Vine Hill House in early October 2023. Dan and Brigette are so easy to work with, and they are the dream team. From our first tour to saying our last goodbye the night of the wedding, they were kind, professional and had every detail dialed in. This venue is turn key and has weddings down like the back of their hand. If you're a busy person and don't have time to deal with a lot of the details of a wedding, VHH is the place for you. Our day was almost 100 degrees, but luckily VHH has gorgeous redwood trees towering over the ceremony location, we didn't need the 100 hand fans I panic bought 3 days before the wedding. Dinner is set on a lawn overlooking a sea of grapevines, where you also have the opportunity to take stunning sunset photos. Dancing is back near the ceremony location, under the redwoods and market lights. We had the BEST DAY. We seriously couldn't be happier with our selection of Vine Hill House. We also selected a lot of our vendors off of their preferred vendor list, which I also recommend doing. Their preferred vendors have worked with Dan and Brigette before and know Vine Hill House very well. Your day goes smoother when your vendors have working relationships and know the venue. Our day went on without a hitch thanks to Dan, Brigette and the Trends Catering Team. We are so thankful for them and all of our vendors for being so easy and fun to work with.

Many things drew us to choose Vine Hill House for our wedding at the end of July. We could not be more thrilled me made that decision. Every detail, every touch and the amazing property with the best views of vineyards and apple trees made the day magical beyond our imagination (and we have really good imaginations). Dan and his team were beyond wonderful and took care of every detail. The venue is well contained so you can easily transition from one part of the wedding to the other. They thought of everything and instinctively knew how to make every element perfect. They were a pleasure to work with and were extremely communicative and helpful through the whole process. The environment and all the little touches they have added to the atmosphere really elevated ours and our guests experience. Dan and Brigitte and the team jumped in and took over all the details so we could be fully present. Dan and Brigitte and the team took so much stress and worry off our backs and our families so we could really enjoy the whole experience. And boy did we! It was the most magnificent and perfect day. We highly recommend Vine Hill House and Dan and his team for your wedding! We wish we could get married again tomorrow so we could do the whole thing over again at Vine Hill House! We cannot thank them enough for delivering the most memorable wedding day for us!

I got married at Vine Hill House in August, 2023 and it was absolute perfection.Starting with the venue itself, it is so stunning you barely need to provide decorations. The vineyard is a gorgeous backdrop and the grounds are exploding with flowers and beautiful oak trees. There is a house on site for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in which makes it easy to organize hair and makeup. In August, the weather was perfect but they do provide heat lamps if things get chilly. The team at VHH is one of the main reasons we chose to move forward. Dan and Brigitte run a tight ship that is well organized, thoughtful, and of the highest quality. They provide day-off coordination included in the price (!!!) which is an incredible value and they really took so much off my plate so I could enjoy the celebration. They have a preferred vendor list who were all top-tier, easy to work with, and super familiar with VHH weddings which made things easy on us. You need to purchase and serve 4 cases of their wine, but other than that it's BYOB which gives you a lot of flexibility and is something you likely won't find at a larger winery. We didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator and we didn't need one because of how responsive and helpful everyone was. It was truly a joy to work with the VHH team and I'm hoping all my friends get married here so I can come back again soon!

Picture this: you're standing on the porch of a beautiful country house, looking out at a sprawling vineyard with a small road running through it and mountains in the distance. It is golden hour and you can see the sunbeams moving through the vines. The guests are seated at their tables on the lawn, and all of the tables are glowing with numerous little candles. The sunset then starts showing through the clouds with pink, purple and orange hues, and you get to watch the light change. The string lights have just been turned on and make the redwoods grove light up where you will soon gather for your first dance. When the sun finally sets, your dance floor becomes an enchanted forest. There is even a chandelier strung between two arbors. Guests are warmed by the fire pit and stand sipping whiskey at a little bar in the trees. Finally, the stars come out.Our wedding at Vine Hill house was even better than we could have dreamed; it was colorful, vibrant, beautiful, intimate and unique. It was entirely outside but was elegant and classy. The views were spectacular and really showcased what California has to offer.I cannot recommend Vine Hill, Dan, Brigitte and the team enough. They guided us through vendor selection and made the day run seamlessly; we didn't have to worry about anything. The venue was one of the more reasonable places cost-wise; we didn't need a wedding planner, could buy our own alcohol and had the actual owner watching to make sure everything was perfect. Since the property is not a winery, you can buy any type of spirit. All of the vendors that Dan recommends have worked there before, so they are familiar with the setting. Dan even shipped our excess alcohol back to us since we live in a different state. This is the kind of service you need for your wedding experience! You can tell that the team really loves their job and wants to please.Our wedding was absolutely perfect- thank you Vine Hill team!!

Dan, the owner of Vine Hill House, and his team took a lot of the stress out of planning. Dan has a lot of experience, knew what questions to ask to keep us on track with the planning process. It should be noted that Dan can be set in his ways and often has his own vision for the event. We had some nontraditional elements in our wedding that required talking through, and in the end they brought a personal touch to the wedding that our guests loved, but be prepared to talk these through and stand your ground on aspects that are important to you. Vine Hill House has a collection of vendors with whom they’ve cultivated strong relationships, which made finding vendors very easy. The vendors we contracted were used to working on the property and the setup and execution was seamless.The property itself is stunning, with views of vineyards and apple trees and a redwood grove that we used as a “tasting grove” for sampling Japanese whiskeys and sakes, which was a huge hit with our guests. There’s a small house that I used to get ready the morning of that is available to the bridal party. The setup on the day of the wedding was very quick, and Brigitte provided kind, personable assistance on the wedding day, popping up at my elbow and helping direct us through the event. She also did an excellent job of gathering and packing up all the remaining decorations, food, and other materials we had brought and having them ready for us to pick up the next day; she was very helpful throughout the weekend.The rates for using Vine Hill House as a venue were reasonable for such a beautiful Wine Country property, and purchasing only two cases of wine from O’Connell Vineyards is required. This is rare in Wine Country—many winery venues ask that you purchase much, much more wine from them or use their wine exclusively for the event, so we were very happy to be able to use mostly our selected beverages for the guests. However, we thought Dan’s estimates for how much alcohol we’d need to buy for the wedding to be very, very generous. We purchased the amounts of wine, beer, and liquor that he recommended, but we ended up with about 100% more alcohol than we needed and gave a lot away (and our group were not light drinkers!). I’ve recommended Vine Hill House to many friends and acquaintances seeking wedding venues in Sonoma County Wine Country!

We purchased the amounts of wine, beer, and liquor that he recommended, but we ended up with about 100% more alcohol than we needed and gave a lot away (and our group were not light drinkers!). I’ve recommended Vine Hill House to many friends and acquaintances seeking wedding venues in Sonoma County Wine Country!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Vine Hill House in June 2022, and could not be more pleased!! For starters, the property is BEAUTIFUL!! A house with a front porch overlooking a lawn and vineyards that you’d swear is out of the movies…and also…Redwood trees. Best of both worlds! Plus little niche areas to hang or for various activities. The house (included) is ideal for pre-wedding preparation and mid-wedding respite, and there are also outdoor areas if trying to keep say the ladies and guys separated while getting ready or pre-“first look”. The tree-lined wedding area with vineyards behind it is sublime, and the lawn perfect for the dinner service (heat lamps included if needed). The ceremony area is seamlessly repurposed to the dance floor, for boogying under the redwoods. We worked with the owner, Dan, and Annalisa. Fantastic folks whose sole focus seemed to be making our event as amazing as possible. Tremendous attention to details, lots of advance checklists to make sure nothing is missed, pre-event walkthroughs…nothing was left to chance. We never really got nervous about us “messing up” at the wedding as we were convinced Dan would simply not let it happen - all bases were covered. VHH as a private event venue has more flexibility around things like what beverages are allowed (e.g., not just wine like at wineries), and are more liberal with modest outdoor noise and end time than other places we looked at. It’s a wonderful size, not too big for our 60-person wedding and I’m sure they could do ~150 people comfortably. It’s also its own space, so there aren’t other activities like wine tasting or other events going on. Sonoma County wedding venues aren’t cheap, but overall we found VHH a good value for what was a top-notch wedding. For things like catering and DJ, they have a very short “approved vendor” list. While this initially concerned me, the upside is those vendors have special packages for VHH that cover/include things that might be done a la carte otherwise. It also allows Dan/VHH to ensure things will be at the high quality level he knows they can deliver. We used Park Avenue for catering (praised separately) and our one contact there (who worked closely with VHH) handled all the food, rental, tables, glassware, linen, etc. as part of the package they offer at VHH. We felt the included options gave us plenty to choose from. For things outside the package, the caterer handles all that directly with the rental company, and the few additions we went for (a “queen table” for the wedding party and one larger round table) were extremely reasonable. Saying this as it made our lives a ton easier just having to work with these few people, who then handled a ton of other details, vs some places that might have had us account for things separately. In hindsight compared to other venues we considered, the limited vendor options and vendor-special “VHH packages” might have actually saved us a bit of money and absolutely saved us time and stress. We’ve been surprised how many of our guests said things like “best wedding ever”. While “it takes a village” for that to happen, Vine Hill House and their team were front-and-center in us having a wedding day that exceeded our biggest hopes and dreams.

We got married at Vine Hill House a little over a month ago, and I am still smiling just thinking about it. When my fiance and I got engaged we toured 12 venues throughout Napa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg and struggled to find one that didn't feel like a \"wedding factory\" (or that wasn't wildly overpriced). Our search was over as soon as we got out of the car at Vine Hill House! The property is absolutely gorgeous with the best vineyard views, and while Dan and his team host dozens of weddings each year, it still feels personal and authentic. I think a huge part of this is because this is Dan's family property, and you can tell how much pride he takes in it and the experience they are providing to you and your guests. So many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to, even though we hardly did any extra decor — it's just that special of a venue. Bonus points in wine country: you can go beyond 10pm, have hard alcohol at the bar, and supplement the O'Connell wines with your own selections!On top of this, Dan's expertise and guidance is hugely helpful and allowed us to plan our wedding ourselves and save the cost of hiring a planner. They were so helpful and supportive through not one but two COVID reschedules and made our day (when it finally came!) incredibly special. I simply cannot recommend Vine Hill enough. Go see for yourself!

We didn't come across Vine Hill House during our first round of venue searching and booked with a venue that went out of business and cancelled on us several months after booking. After a second round of searching for venues that had availability for our date, we visited VHH and immediately knew we had found our venue. Then COVID, and we had to change our date, and Dan was willing to work with us to pick a backup date. To us and all couples that had to reschedule, he offered the ability to host a smaller gathering while waiting things out, at no additional cost. We didn't take him up on this because things opened up quickly enough to host the main event, but really appreciated that he was going out of his way to help us, especially considering that it had been such a hard year for him and all others in the wedding and private party industry.VHH is the perfect place to have an outdoor wedding in Sonoma, and Dan, the owner, knows exactly how to throw the perfect wedding and reception. We (the couple) have had the benefit of going to several Sonoma weddings before hosting our own, and we quickly learned the importance of shade before the sun sets and sources of warmth after the sun sets. Dan has the evening planned out perfectly so guests are in shade for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and then dinner, with patio heaters if it gets chilly after sundown. In addition the space is laid out perfectly so that everything is compact and easy to find, while still spaced out enough that guests (and the wedding couple) can find moments to themselves. The space is also wired for sound so our DJ could easily make sure that everyone was heard during the ceremony and speeches, and enjoy the music during dancing. As part of the wedding package, you have use of a private house all day, and we didn't really understand the benefit of this, so let me tell you it is so nice to have access to a private bathroom and a place to catch your breath between ceremony and dinner, all while still being able to see your guests having a great time right outside.Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the view was, both during and after the event. Several times during set up and during the event we would just stare off into the distance, down the hill of grapes to the valley and water below, thinking how lucky we were to get married at such a beautiful place.

I trusted in them and so glad I did because our wedding was absolutely perfect from start to finish. They allow you to just focus on the day and having fun that you don't even realize how much work is going on in the background. They work VERY hard to make your day perfect!Our day was better than we would have ever expected and I truly give a lot of credit to their team and the venue itself. Vine Hill House immediately made me cry when I stepped on property for a tour. It was such a beautiful venue that you don't need to add so much extra fluff to your wedding because the view and feel does it for you!Dan and Dawnyel are the perfect team and are some of the most organized people i've ever met and it takes SO much stress away from you and your partner. We wanted everything to be outdoors which we found to be an issue for a lot of other venues we looked into, but Vine Hill had the perfect layout for separate ceremony, reception, bar and lawn games areas that we wanted. Despite some early delays in communication (which were likely due to our wedding being so far away - we booked 2 years out), we always felt that our wedding was in good hands with Dan and Dawnyel. They were very organized and helpful, especially in the months leading up to the wedding, which was a Godsend for me as I planned it alone from across the country. I highly recommend hiring Dawnyel as a day-of coordinator - she was on top of everything, set all of our décor up beautifully, kept in communication with our vendors throughout the day, was super sweet and honestly really fun to be around! All of my bridesmaids were raving about her as well.I am still hearing from my guests how \"perfect\" my wedding was, mostly because of the gorgeous venue & the general vibe it had. The trees surrounding the ceremony space made the 100 degree day feel comfortable, the beautiful vineyard views from dinner seemed to be a hit and the market lights over the dining area, dance floor and trees everywhere gave our wedding the romantic feel we were looking for. Dan & Dawnyel took care of everything in a very organized and professional way and there was nothing I needed to do on the day of my wedding - they made it perfect and allowed my husband & I to just relax and have fun with our guests. Dan cares so deeply about the property and wants to make sure that everyone (wedding party, families, attendees) have the best experience possible. He partners with top notch vendors who also know the property well, so the entire experience is seamless. Dan's personal connection really helped us commit to Vine Hill House as our venue.We also had Dawnyel as our day-of help and I honestly don't know what we would have done without her! The setups looked stunning and absolutely perfect. Throughout the planning process, friends and family all warned us that \"something will go wrong\" but if something went wrong on our day, I certainly didn't know about it. Dawnyel had everything handled and somehow managed to be smiling and positive the entire day. And she made sure I always had a full glass of champagne during the reception! :) All of our vendors shared that they love working at Vine Hill House and we can see why. Our friends and family who attended the wedding all said it was the best they'd been to. The property is gorgeous, warm, friendly, and exactly what we could have hoped for for our day. I think she is 6 women put into one body! She was getting things done I didn't even think about yet! She was beyond attentive to everything going on. All while having the best attitude, and constantly reminding me how fast the day would go by so that I could take in the moments! We chose Vine Hill House for our May wedding because it is a gorgeous location for a wedding and the people who run it are amazing to work with. We could tell in our first meeting that they knew what they were doing. As a bonus, they allow hard alcohol and don't have the 10pm noise restriction most places in Sonoma have. Their wine is also delish. The planning process was super smooth - it honestly couldn't have been easier. Well, nothing ever goes as planned... the week before our wedding, the weather turned and a freak winter storm came in. When we realized it was going to rain, Dawnyel and Dan leapt into action and arranged for a tent to be installed - we literally didn't need to do a thing, which goes way above and beyond what a venue typically does. We are so grateful. Weddings were canceled all over the Sonoma area because there was a shortage of tents and labor, but not ours. They made it happen for us. While we didn't get the springtime, outdoor wedding we planned for, what we did get was just as good or maybe even better. Our wedding was SO fun and Dan and Dawnyel were a huge piece of that. I cannot recommend Vine Hill House enough.

What makes this venue special, though, is the people. From the beginning, we knew we were getting full support from Dan and Dawnyel and their vast experience and relationships with their vendors. Dan has decades of experience running events at his family property and he helped us plan and organize along the way to make sure we stayed on track and made our special day streamlined and full of joy. Dawnyel is an absolute angel and we kept saying all day that we wanted to package her up and take her home with us. I made most of my own decorations and she created all that I wanted with them and so much more. When I saw the venue before the wedding I was in awe. She even stood with me before walking out to join the bridal party and shared a beautiful moment and a few tears with me. I felt so cared for and loved by her on my big day. I got a wine stain on the back of dress and she calmly removed me from the reception and performed some magic to get it out. No one even knew what happened! The whole Vine Hill House team is absolutely amazing. They host a lot of weddings, and from the very beginning Dan remembered who I was. So much so, I actually built a relationship with Dan, which really helped keep my calm and comfortable through the entire process. Danyell who I met the day off (she acts as the brides personal assistant almost) is SO amazing. Give that lady a medal. Holy moly, she kept me calm in my boots the entire time. She fixed my hair, veil, bustled my dress(my girls were off elsewhere,) she even changed my shoes for me and cleaned my feet and so much more. She. is. amazing. All that aside, the venue is magical. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I am so thankful they shared the venue with us for our special day. I just can’t say enough about the Vine Hill House and their team other than BOOK IT. You will not regret it. 💕

Where to start. I guess at the beginning. Believe the hype. Dan has perfected and fine tuned every detail of a wedding. He has a carefully selected list of preferred vendors that are also professionals and know how to work well together. In the lead up to the wedding Dan has well spaced meetings that allow for additional coordination and guidance. When the wedding day finally arrives Dan is constantly there in the background like the conductor of a master orchestra making sure everyone is in sync and on time. The team working there loves what they do and it clearly shows. Everyone was a delight to work with and the guest raved about everything the venue had to offer. We are not usually ones to write reviews but we are so blown away and thankful for how well everything went that we felt like we absolutely had to. Ps. The day of coordinator, Dawnyel, was a wedding day guardian angel who was always looking out and 2 steps ahead. She went above and beyond, from saving our damaged wedding cake to fixing a ripped wedding dress. She was always there to make things go smoothly and saved the day (a few times).

We were married at Vine Hill House in Sebastopol a little over a week ago, and I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and the Vine Hill House team. Both my husband and I are detail oriented and extremely type A, which could have made wedding planning a really stressful experience, but not with Dan and Dawnyel from Vine Hill House! They made wedding planning a breeze! Not only did they make things easy, but they were always so honest with us. When the devastating fires hit the North Bay a short two weeks before our wedding, my husband and I were unsure what we should do but Dan and Dawnyel helped put our concerns at ease and their confidence was a huge reason why we decided to proceed with the wedding instead of postponing (by the way - we had beautiful blue skies the entire weekend). They know their venue so well, from everything to when the sun will set to forecasting the weather. And on the day of, we had absolutely nothing to worry about, their team took care of everything and it could not have been a more smooth or easy day! I am grateful we could find a team we could truly trust, at a venue we absolutely loved. It was a perfect day, and a huge reason for that is the support we got from Vine Hill House! We highly recommend considering (and picking them) for your perfect day!

This place is an absolute dream! Being from Sonoma county, I knew I always wanted to get married in the area. When I started my search, I was overwhelmed with how expensive it was to get married at a winery, and all of the restrictions put in place. I continued my search and found the Vine Hill House - which isn't a winery but a fantastic private venue nestled in the vineyards and apple orchards on the property. The views are breathtaking and better than most I saw at any winery. The space is amazing - separate areas for ceremony, cocktail, dining however it is an open layout so your guests never feel cutout from one space. They keep the property immaculate and lush - the greenery and flowers are everywhere. Dan, the owner, is incredibly helpful through the entire process. He has been doing events for something like 18 years and knows his stuff. He has his pinons on certain things, but rightfully so, and he knows what works well and what doesn't so listen to him. But also speak up when something is important (he will listen). His team provides the day of coordination and I added on Dawnyel's day of assistance (also through Vine Hill) to help with putting out any decor items and keeping my glass full (she literally would fill up my drink when she saw it getting low - talk about top notch service). Our wedding was an absolute dream and the venue is GORGEOUS. I am so happy we chose to get married here - I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

Jennifer and I were married in May, 2017. We could not have been more pleased with VHH, their service and their organization. Dan and Dawnyel are so organized, it is almost like having a day-of wedding planner on premises. (In fact, we hired a planner separately from VHH just to be sure we were covering all of our bases, but you might not need one, as VHH truly does it all.) The ceremony moved deliberately and never ran behind, and segued perfectly into the cocktail hour and the reception. Everyone remarked how smoothly everything went. Given how stressful weddings can be, having everything move on-time is very relieving.The grounds are beautiful and comfy. We had 95 attendees and I feel that between 70-120 is perfect for this space.We chose most of the vendors from his list and feel they all did very well. Especially Park Avenue Catering, Patisserie Angelica (wedding cake/petitfours) and ETC Floral Design. All of those vendors were impeccable in service and quality of delivery, and truly went above and beyond, like VHH. Every detail was thought of at VHH. Dan has his details down to the smallest and runs the venue like a smooth sailing ship. It seemed any time a hiccup occurred, Dan and the team knew exactly what to do, as they are fully prepared and have seen it all before. I highly recommend VHH. We first toured VHH on a rainy day in January and it was still beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The property has sweeping vineyard views with redwood trees and an apple orchard. Beyond that, Dan was a huge selling point as we did not want to pay for a wedding planner. Dan made the entire planning process easy and straightforward. Yes, he will make his opinion known (ex: he doesn't like sweetheart tables), but let us make our own decisions and never overstepped. Dan and Dawnyel made the entire day run smoothly and flawlessly. He would let us know when it was time for speeches, to cut the cake, for first dances, etc. and it wasn't disruptive in the slightest. We were required to purchase two pricey cases of their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and both were delicious. Their list of vendors for catering and entertainment are small, yes, but they work at this venue just about every weekend and know what they are doing. In the end, we are so happy we chose VHH and would recommend it to everyone. We had the perfect wedding!

I can't imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Yes, it's a beyond beautiful venue but more than that, Dan and Dawnyel are AMAZING. It's so rare to find a venue that will go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect, and I felt like I was in such capable hands with the two of them. I didn't have a wedding party so I opted for Dawnyel to act as my day of coordinator and she made sure I didn't have a THING to worry about and a full glass of champagne at all times. Seriously - get married here! I wish I could do it all over again!

It was a gorgeous venue, our wedding was absolutely amazing. The only reason I cannot stand to give this place 5 stars is because of the owner, Dan O'Connell. He was the most unprofessional person I have ever met. Your wedding day is supposed to be peefect, to be what you envision. Every time we met, he had his opinions and scoffed at us when we had our own. If you are looking to just hand someone a check and say, plan my wedding, this is your place. He was rude to all of the other vendors we used. He is pompous. He is not who you want to be your day of planner. Two weeks before the wedding he snuck in an extra $300 in fees because we weren't using vendors that he like. The day of my wedding, as all of us are setting up and the girls were getting ready, he had other appointments to show his venue. It was unprofessional to have other guest walking around the property until 2p, one, when we paid to have the venue from 9a-10p, but two, to be walking people through the house as we are getting ready. I feel horrible for anyone who has or is going to be spending the most special day of your life here. Please choose somewhere else!!!!!!!!

Vine Hill House is stunning!! As you have probably read, Dan has everything down to a tee. You won't need a wedding planner with Dan's helpful lists and running the rehearsal. I can be a total control freak and was completely relaxed about the venue, the rehearsal and the wedding from the day I booked it. Nothing is better than knowing you are in great hands and they have you covered! My one qualm is that you have to use AMS as your DJ. You pay a premium for AMS as there is only one \"Vine Hill\" package created and used for all the weddings. The wedding would have been flawless if not for the music hiccups. Don't get me wrong, the guests still danced the night away and had a FAB time, but it wasn't executed as well as it should have been.The house to get ready in on the property is amazing and perfect place for the bridesmaids to gather. The venue feels intimate, but has plenty of space to hold everyone. There are ENDLESS amounts of places between the venue and the vineyards for phenomenal photos (check out Duende Photo, they are fabulous). The grounds are so nicely kept, you barely need any extra decor or flowers to make the place feel magical. It almost feel likes a secret garden. Between the redwoods, flowers, lush grass and vineyards in the background, it's GORGEOUS!Vine Hill house comes with a comprehensive package and includes all of your tables, heaters, chairs, day use of the house and more. This makes it so easy not having to find and manage multiple vendors for those items!You can also bring in your own alcohol with a no corkage fee. You do pay for two pricey cases of Pinot Noir, but the Pinot is superb and you save SO much on being able to buy your own bar items. This was definitely a selling point for us.Book your wedding here, you'll be so happy you did!

Vine Hill House is stunning!! As you have probably read, Dan has everything down to a tee. You won't need a wedding planner with Dan's helpful lists and running the rehearsal. I can be a total control freak and was completely relaxed about the venue, the rehearsal and the wedding from the day I booked it. Nothing is better than knowing you are in great hands and they have you covered! My one qualm is that you have to use AMS as your DJ. You pay a premium for AMS as there is only one \"Vine Hill\" package created and used for all the weddings. The wedding would have been flawless if not for the music hiccups. Don't get me wrong, the guests still danced the night away and had a FAB time, but it wasn't executed as well as it should have been.The house to get ready in on the property is amazing and perfect place for the bridesmaids to gather. The venue feels intimate, but has plenty of space to hold everyone. There are ENDLESS amounts of places between the venue and the vineyards for phenomenal photos (check out Duende Photo, they are fabulous). The grounds are so nicely kept, you barely need any extra decor or flowers to make the place feel magical. It almost feel likes a secret garden. Between the redwoods, flowers, lush grass and vineyards in the background, it's GORGEOUS!Vine Hill house comes with a comprehensive package and includes all of your tables, heaters, chairs, day use of the house and more. This makes it so easy not having to find and manage multiple vendors for those items!You can also bring in your own alcohol with a no corkage fee. You do pay for two pricey cases of Pinot Noir, but the Pinot is superb and you save SO much on being able to buy your own bar items. This was definitely a selling point for us.Book your wedding here, you'll be so happy you did!

We found Vine Hill House after reading reviews about how great Dan, the owner and manager, is to work with, and we were not disappointed. Dan helped us plan a wedding from across the country (New York City) in 8 months and 4 in-person visits WITHOUT a wedding planner. The location is a short drive from downtown Sebastopol and is at the edge of the O'Connell vineyards, in the backyard and house where Dan grew up. It's an outdoor-only venue that overlooks the vineyard (there are heaters set up in case it gets chilly), and you have the space for the entire day. Brides typically use the house to get ready in the morning. But enough about the space - some more information on Dan. If you have ideas in mind, he's more than willing to work with you, but what I almost found more helpful was that he has done this enough times to tell you what generally works and what doesn't. I haven't been a part of planning any weddings prior to this and really didn't have a \"dream wedding\" in mind that I was tied to. He gives you a basic framework of timeline (both of when things need to be done by and the flow of the day itself) and has lists of vendors that he recommends/works with (highly suggest Park Ave Catering). He's got tips on what to tell your guests on your website about arrival info, and will give his opinion on anything you ask him to. A couple of good things to know:- he generally only uses one company for the sound system/DJ (AMS entertainment)- catering is highly encouraged to be done through one of 3 companies, it'd be a bit more of a challenge to get someone else, and there's a fee associated with it. But Park Ave is amazing.- you have to purchase/serve a certain amount of wine from their home winery, but it's excellent, especially the chardonnay -- we were disappointed to not have a single bottle left to take home! Other than that you can provide your own alcohol/other beverages if you want.

If you are looking for an outdoor venue with sweeping vineyard views, look no further. Vine Hill House is breathtakingly beautiful. Dan has done such a great job tailoring the space for weddings. Dan at vine hill house is amazing. He made my day go over amazingly and made me feel so comfortable. He runs your whole wedding for you so no need for a wedding planner. He also makes sure everything runs on time that way you can get everything in that you want to do that day. This venue is amazing and Dan and jan make it perfect!

Vine Hill House was the perfect place for our venue. I was aiming for a Tuscan style wedding and this was it. The view and the setup could not have been better. It was breathtaking. Working with the owner, Dan, was a little bit frustrating however. I am a person that wants to take over every little detail and he wouldn't let me. This was a struggling point for me during the year and a half process. We did an all inclusive event but it turned out it was not all inclusive at all. We paid for every portion of the wedding separately, so I'm not completely sure where we saved money. Overall, Dan did a great job and made sure everything was perfect. We had a fabulous wedding!

The vendors that work with him are top notch and provide high quality service and results. I loved getting married here! I had 150 guests and they all fit easily. There is a house for you to use all day to get ready with your girls (which I did) and the view is unbeatable!\r\rThis venue was reasonably priced for the area, although I did have a Sunday wedding to help with cost. Dan requires 2 cases of his delicious wine be bought and that wasn't a big issue since it was so good it was gone in a flash!\rDan and Jan will be the day of coordinators for you and even though my day was unexpectedly windy, Dan made the most of it and laid umbrellas down to keep my guests from getting too chilly. \r\rOnly spot of bother I had was that certain details we had previously discussed were not followed through. (i.e. use of lights I had brought, favors being set up for guest to take home, sparkler exit was led by my bridesmaid rather than Dan) All in all these details ended up not mattering to me on the day of, however in hindsight I wish they had been carried out as we had planned.

I grew up in Sebastopol, and always dreamed of getting married at a winery in my home town. After visiting several other wineries though, I realized that many of them were too expensive, or too austere (I'd have to bring in lots of flowers and decoration to make it seem beautiful and festive). VHH however, was everything I dreamed it would be. It had a gorgeous view of the vineyards and Sonoma County's rolling hills, and a romantic garden setting. The only decoration I needed was personal flowers and centerpieces. \r\rThe owners of the property, Dan and Jan provided me with a wealth of information on other local vendors which was invaluable as I was planning.\r\rMy husband likes to say, our wedding day went off with only one hitch (us getting hitched). Everything went according to the plan. In fact several guests say our wedding was the first wedding they'd ever been to where everything happened on time. Upon seeing the space my fiance and I were sold. The grounds are very well taken care of, the owners really take pride in their location and it shows. The space includes a bridal suite to get ready in, tables, chairs, heaters, market umbrellas, staffing to set and breakdown, onsite coordinator and an unforgettable view. It was just what we were looking for and more.\r \rAs a meeting/event planner, I hold my standards very high, this space definitely met them and our guests were just as impressed. The only reason that this space did not receive 5 stars was the fact that you MUST use the owner as your day of planner and the lack of flexibility from the owner. \r\rThe owner has been doing this for a number of years and is a great resource for how things should go. However, when you try to do things a little differently you will most definitely get push back. Because I am a bit of a control freak and have a great deal of my own ideas and thoughts of how the day would go, I often found myself butting heads with the owner. Also, read the contract carefully. If you planned on bringing in your own day-of-coordinator you may need to rethink this. The contract reads that Vine Hill House will coordinate everything. Should you pay to have a coordinator, they will need to report to Vine Hill House - acting as an additional staff member of the venue. In other words you are not permitted to bring in your own coordinator. \r\rDont let this detail detour you from the venue. Ensure that you speak with the owner prior to contracting to ensure that your expectations are met. The space was the perfect outdoor location at a far less price than many of the other wineries/wedding sites in the area.

My husband and I recently got married at Vine Hill House in Sebastopol, CA. It was very easy to get in touch with the owners Dan O’Connell and his wife Jan and after speaking with Dan on the phone, I knew it was a place I needed to see. The day we toured the property it rained, but the natural beauty and charm of the area was crystal clear. The lush greenery of the lawns and gardens paired with the charming guest house and flagstone walkways was perfect for the rustic garden wedding I had envisioned. Not to mention the entire property is artfully lit with path lighting, up lights and twinkle lights wrapped around the trees. And then there is the view! The dinner space on the lawn overlooks rolling hills of vineyards with breathtaking mountains and a small body of water off in the distance. I was hooked! In the hour we spent talking to Dan and touring his family owned apple orchard and winery property, I knew I wanted to get married at Vine Hill House. I was planning my wedding from a distance and Dan let me know right away that it would not be a problem and that he could do as much or as little with the planning as I wanted. He was warm and friendly and I trusted him instantly. In the months leading up to the wedding Dan was very responsive and encouraging with each question I called or emailed with and when I asked for advice he always had a helpful answer and sometimes even an email packet with more details.\r\rFast forward to the wedding day and I cannot say enough glowing things about this place or the owners. Dan and his team were out bright and early setting up all of the decoration to my specifications. And when it started to rain he kept me calm and assured me that the satellite report promised it would pass quickly. Then he instructed his crew to hand wipe each chair so that nothing was wet when my guests arrived. Dan also acts as day of coordinator, so if you can’t afford a wedding planner, this is a great savings. Dan was absolutely on top of every detail including keeping all of the vendors on time and in order. He has decades of experience with weddings so he knows lots of tricks to make sure your event runs smoothly. My friends and family were all very impressed with the way the entire event came together. The staggering beauty and quiet charm of Vine Hill House combined with Dan’s professionalism relaxed demeanor make for a home run for any wedding. I would absolutely recommend Vine Hill House to any bride looking to have an unforgettable outdoor garden wedding.
